The federal government of Nigeria has agreed to release up to N30billion earned academic allowance to the university lecturers in tranches between May 2021 and February 2022.
Naijahottest Tv reporter also learnt that the FG has promised to spend another N20billion on the revitalisation of the education sector in the country.
However in spite of the agreements reached, the meeting was a stalemate and adjourned as both parties couldn’t reach an agreement point.
The conciliatory meeting is to reconvene by October 21 by 3.00 p.m after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. It is expected that ASUU will report back on its decision, in order to facilitate calling off their strike.
Any moment from now ASUU will suspend her strike and school will resume their normal activities.
